our history

It was 1960 when Olindo Andrighetti founded Andrighetti Legnami S.p.A. A native of Veneto, Olindo was an entrepreneur with great personality and determination who managed to concretise the need to make a name for the exotic timber from the African forests – and in particular from the Ivory Coast – in Italy and around the world. His vision of using tropical wood in the building and construction sectors allowed him to achieve a central role in the market in terms of distributing exotic wood amongst retailers, window manufacturers and the wood industry generally in just a few years. With daughters Ada and Nicoletta joining the management team, the company opened its borders to new markets, consolidating their presence in the main European countries, in the Balkan Area, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and in North and South America. Through collaborations with significant companies in the sector, Andrighetti Legnami increased its market penetration by creating an extremely efficient distribution network, intensifying the spread not only of wood from its subsidiaries but also of other products such as European and American hardwoods.
…from 1960
Over the years, the company underwent a restructuring that led to a greater control of the processes whilst overcoming difficult economic conditions. Today, the Andrighetti Group is comprised of a logistics hub in Italy, along with a dynamic supply and quality control structure in Africa and Eastern Europe for sales of the main exotic species and high-quality European hardwoods. Now, the group faces new and significant challenges in production renewal and diversification.  Recently, the company increased the supply of timber from Croatia, extending the range of European species offered with woods such as Oak, Beech, Ash, Larch and elements of Beech, Ash and Oak.
Over the years, the company has grown to the point of being able to offer over 100 species of wood from Europe, Africa, North and South America. In particular, our efforts have focused on European hardwood whilst maintaining the historical supply contacts with the sawmills in Cameroon, Gabon and Congo, where we regularly buy sawn timber and other semi-finished products like outdoor decking and laminates for windows and doors, both for our own stocks and for trading. Through significant investments in the renewal of infrastructure, vehicles and machinery, we can consider ourselves one of the most dynamic, reliable and partnership-oriented companies in the sector. At the same time, the medium- and long-term investment programmes, combined with research into new technologies and applications, have seen the Andrighetti Group increasingly present in this sector, ensuring a generational continuity supported by a quality product.
