AYOUS

General description
A soft and compact with medium texture, this wood is generally yellowish-white in colour with non-differentiated Sapwood and Heartwood. It is knot-free, very light and easy to work, simplifying all main operations such as drying, sawing, rotary cutting and impregnation.
Uses
It is used for frame mouldings and in light joinery, such as in the manufacture of drums and heels.

SAPELLI

General description
Wood with medium-fine texture and a reddish-brown Heartwood with lighter touches, the Sapwood is rosy with yellowish hues. It is easy to process, whilst drying is a very delicate process due to the deformations that can occur.
Uses
It is used to make doors, windows, flooring and decorative sliced veneer.

IROKO

General description
This wood with medium-coarse texture has a colouration ranging from dark straw-yellow to brown/dark grey, where oxides can also contain hard deposits of calcium carbonate that darken the surrounding wood. It is difficult to work if silicon is present and is slow to dry.
Uses
It is used for indoor flooring, for indoor and outdoor joinery, for stairs, windows and outdoor furniture.

FROMAGER

General description
This extremely light and tender wood is nonetheless compact, does not produce “torn grain” when processing, a characteristic that renders it easily paintable. Coarse in texture, its undifferentiated Sapwood and Heartwood is white in colour. Yellowish, extremely light.
Uses
It is usually utilised to make plywood, light packaging and wood pulp.

GABOON

General description
A medium hard wood with coarse texture. Processing can be difficult due to the interlocked grain and deformations that may occur during the drying process. The colour of the Heartwood ranges from light pink to dark red, whilst the Sapwood is from white to greyish (being well distinguished).
Uses
It is used to manufacture solid or laminated fixtures and furniture.
